Creators of the Century award

Mrs. Mirjana and Mr. Ivan Topcic, founders and owners of Tim Kabel, won the award for lifetime achievement in entrepreneurship "Creators of the Century", as part of the project to recognise contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Southeast Europe.

We are proud that the work and dedication of Mrs. and Mr. Topčić have been recognised by the Independent International Commission and that in a competition which included 340 candidates from nine countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Germany, Slovenia, Serbia and Sweden), they were one of the 63 laureates in four categories.

The project "Creators of the Century" was organised jointly by the International Economic Forum "Perspectives" Sarajevo / Dubrovnik, "Induco" Belgrade / Slavonski Brod and "Promo-Global" Zagreb / Novi Sad. The main objective of the project "Creators of the Century" is to publicly acknowledge the most deserving individuals, companies and institutions who contribute to the development of entrepreneurship in Southeast Europe, as well as to direct public attention to the great visionaries and leaders of tomorrow, whose work, knowledge, creativity and excellent results are the foundation and the main driver of progress in the communities where they live and who are the creators of the developmental challenges of the new age.

The gravity of the selection of the best candidates is shown by the following information:

1. The process of nominating the candidates and deciding on the laureates lasted 20 months (from June 2013 to January 2015);
2. The process of choosing nominees included numerous entrepreneurs, business associations, NGOs and governmental institutions, a total of 186 promoters from 9 countries;
3. 340 candidates from nine countries were chosen;
4. The 12-member international panel of judges, headed by academic Prof. Boris Tihi, which decided on the laureates, was made up of experts in economics, marketing, management and entrepreneurship from five countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia);
5. The proposals for candidates who are shortlisted are presented on 137 pages of text;
6. Out of 340 candidates the jury selected and awarded the 63 best companies and individuals most responsible for the development of entrepreneurship in Southeast Europe.

The awards ceremony for "Creators of the Century" was held in Dubrovnik from 26th to 28th March, 2015. At the same time, the Regional Summit of Entrepreneurs of Southeast Europe "The Top 300" and the international panel of experts entitled "Where does the world economy go now – the economy of the future?!" The Regional Summit of Entrepreneurs "The Top 300" represents the top event for all those who in any way, directly or indirectly, contribute to the development and creation of a positive image for entrepreneurship. The summit brought together people who are leading economic and social development, and who, in every economic system, bring a tremendous amount of their energy and creativity and creative skills, talents and abilities to lead and motivate others to creative work.
