Hydroelectric power plant Lesce

agregati First hydroelectric power plant in Croatia since independence, ''Lesce'', was built on river Dobra. The usage of energy of water potential is economically competitive to production of electric energy from fossil and nuclear fuel, and therefore hydroelectric power plant is most appreciable renewable source of energy (represents 97 % of energy produced in all renewable sources).

HPP ''Lesce'', 42,3 MW capacity, with annual production of 98 TWH, is the first hydroelectric power plant that was built in Croatia since independence. HPP ''Lesce'' was built on river Dobra, our longest gulf, not far from thermal springs ''Lesce''. It serves for production of electric energy in variable part of daily consumption.

In last thirty years production in hydroelectric is rapidly increased, and that is from several reasons:

- hydro energy is pure, there is no waste; no expenses for fuel (water is free), under condition that there is enough quantity

- modern hydroelectric can convert 90 % of water energy into electric energy; letting hydroelectric power plant in drive is fast and is used for covering rapid increases of expense

- artificial lakes arise by building hydroelectric are locally contributing economy and allowing irrigation, water supply, tourism and recreation

In this very significant project for Croatian energetic, Tim Kabel participated with delivery of control cables, energetically non-reinforced and reinforced cables, middle voltage cables, and cables for higher temperatures. Wide assortment of our suppliers and very quick time of reaction, with high quality of products, of course, were the reasons why Tim Kabel was selected to be main supplier of cables and conductors in this project.

Satisfaction of our partners after successful finish of this project is another confirmation of our abilities that were the reason for intrusting the job and participating in this acquiring project.
