AEO certificate

The concept of AEOs (Authorized Economic Operators) is based on a partnership between customs authorities and companies, introduced by the World Customs Organization (WCO). Holders of an AEO certificate are economic entities that voluntarily meet a wide range of criteria and work closely with the customs authorities in order to achieve the common goal of security of the supply chain.

An AEO certificate is awarded by the Ministry of Finance, Customs Administration. There are two different types of AEO status: AEOC and AEOS. Criteria for the award AEOC include: the existence of a record of compliance with customs requirements, the existence of a satisfactory system of managing commercial and, if necessary, transport records, which allows appropriate customs controls, and proven financial solvency. Tim Kabel meet all the above requirements, and we have been assigned an AEOC certificate that is valid for the entire EU, and which allows faster flow of goods and documents, i.e. makes use of certain simplifications in accordance with the customs legislation.

Some of the benefits for holders of an AEO certificate are: easier access to customs simplifications, preferential treatment compared to other operators with regard to customs checks, including less physical checks and early notification in the event of selection for a customs check. It also includes the possibility of requesting a special place for a customs check and priority if selected for verification.
