Tim Kabel Open 2016.

Two years in a row rain forced us to change the date of the tournament, but this year we would not be deterred. The forecast was changing every couple of hours and it was questionable how many players would be free the following weekend, so despite the prospect of bad weather we decided to hold the tournament.

Seeing that we had only one court at our disposal in the hall we had to change the format of the competition. Instead of singles matches we played doubles. Consequently the tournament became even more interesting. After a few matches the sun smiled on us and we were able to play outdoors for two hours, just long enough for the tournament to finish on time.

The semi-finals were played to the deafening sound of spring lightning storms, but our players did not give up. The final was between Ivana Topcic & Darko Mamic, and Mirko Markovic & Miro Curkovic (last year's winner). Topcic and Mamic emerged triumphant and all present from Tim Kabel were extremely happy and proud of them. Tim Kabel had won the TK Open!

After a long day of tennis we relaxed to the sound of tambouras and hung out late into the night.
